My name is Tania and I am a single mum to my 11-year-old son Case-Mason who is the absolute inspiration behind Casez Creations Tiakina Te Taiao Limited.

Case was born with extreme eczema. As he’s aged his condition has improved somewhat, but he continues to have flare ups.

During lockdown in April 2020 I became interested in learning about the medicinal properties of our own native plants. I started to think how I could incorporate these plants more into our lives instead of using products full of chemicals.

Case became my inspiration as I made different creams, oils, soaps & balms infused with our native plants to help relieve some of his symptoms.

He has bathed in different leaves and I tried a number of poultices, all of which have made a significant difference to his severe symptoms.

Growing up in the Mangakahu Valley (MKV) of Taumarunui, our ngahere (bush/forest) was our biggest asset. It provided food and an income for our whole family.

The bush was our playground, part of our everyday life and we were taught from a young age that we needed to respect everything within.

During my adult life and living mostly in the city, I always upheld a strong connection with our ngahere. Case & I have walked many tracks here in Auckland and now he has the same love and appreciation for our native environment.

In between working fulltime, being a mum, and keeping our household I have been able to create some amazing homemade products using what's available from our ngahere.

As more or our whānau tried our products, it became obvious after lockdown that people are taking more of an interest in going natural and taking care of our enviroment.

Less chemicals, less plastic & less waste. Casez Creations was born out of a need for more natural products to be present in our world.

Our products are 100% natural and organic and you won't find any nasty chemicals or ingredients in our products.

Creams/balms/oils/bath salts and soaps are all made using what we collect from our ngahere beforehand and infused with different oils.

Many of our whanau & friends have been interested in our journey and the products we have produced.
